Now in its 9th year, Strides For The General has become an annual tradition for patients, families and supporters of Hamilton General Hospital and the Regional Rehabilitation Centre.
Join us on September 14th as we stride to make a vital difference in patient care.

What: Your choice to participate in the 5 KM Walk or 5 KM Timed Run

Event Routes: Be sure to familiarize yourself with the route map ahead of Strides. While there will be directional signage and route marshals, participants should know their route. Click to view the 5K Walk Route and the (Timed) 5K Run Route.
Registration
Take advantage of discounted registration fees and register early! All paid registrations include a running shirt, pair of socks, medal and lunch at Strides For The General, plus opportunities to win great prizes.

Based on participant feedback, Strides 2019 will only include a 5 km walk and a Timed 5 km run.
*Kids 12 and under can participate for free but will not receive a t-shirt

Fundraising
All participants are encouraged to fundraise. Once registered you’ll have access to a personalized participant centre where you can send emails to request support, view your progress and sent thank you emails. Prizes will be awarded to top fundraisers (see below). Tax receipts will be issued for donations of $10 or more.

Since 2011, Strides for the General has raised more than $1,084,000! Funds raised through Strides For The General enable the clinical teams at Hamilton General Hospital and the Regional Rehabilitation Centre to purchase critical equipment and patient amenities that will have a significant impact on the quality of care provided to patients. Prizes

Event Waiver
All attendees at Strides for the General agree to the Event Waiver. You are not required to submit this separately. You’ll will be asked to agree to terms while completing the online registration.
