Welcome to My Personal Page
As some of you may know, last year I lost my father to a form of cancer called non-small cell carcinoma, which is a type of lung cancer. I never thought I would see the day when my father would pass, especially after battling so many obstacles in his lifetime. He always found a way to persevere and get stronger from it. My father was the strongest person I know but even this evil disease found a way to make him succumb in such a short period of time. The day my father was diagnosed, everything changed so fast. Our family had to sprint just to keep up. And I can say truthfully, the strength we were fortunate to have during that time (and still today) is from the love we received from our family and friends.
The unfortunate reality through all of this is you will grieve forever. You will never get over a loss of a loved one, but you will learn to heal and rebuild yourself around the loss of a loved one. It’s important that you use whatever strength you have and turn it into something positive. My father received care from the nurses and doctors at Juravinski Cancer Centre, and we were fortunate enough to have these medical professionals who are literally “living angels” care for my father. That is why I have decided to pay it forward and contribute to the world-class care that another cancer patient will receive.
Please support me to raise money and awareness for a disease that has affected the lives of so many people we know and love.
Every little bit helps, and nothing goes unnoticed!
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
The Climb for Cancer, a stair-climbing event at the new Tim Hortons Field to raise money for and awareness about cancer care in the Hamilton community, will take place on Saturday, May 12, 2018. Your support of this very special event will help to ensure that the Juravinski Cancer Centre continues to provide world-class cancer care to a growing number of patients.
